The Arcs are a four piece rock combo from Athens, GA. Consisting of Kevin Lane, Ben Spraker, Brandon Reynolds, and Dave Gerow, scene veterans from bands like The Possibilities, Elf Power, Don Chambers + GOAT, The Shut-Ups, NSM, Ceiling Fan, The Vigilantes of Love, Timber, Landspeeder, and The Sunshine Fix, they have been producing enthusiastic and energetic power-pop since 2008.
Since forming, their aesthetic has always been: pop songs — rock band. Their 2016 self-released “Molt” verified this, and with their most recent effort, Athens Ave, due September 16, 2025 on vinyl and cd on Athens’ Arfus Records, they do not disappoint. Recorded by Kevin Lane at Express Lane Studios in Athens, the band makes a jump in both performances and production.
Stylistically, The Arcs move deftly through the wistful and ethereal, barbed-wire wrapped Blow-Pops, and pure pop parfaits while maintaining their core identity of a rock band. Chiming, driving, and sometimes ripping guitars, crystalline vocals, silky-smooth right-cross rhythm section, and shiny, shiny hooks.
